January also saw a special acknowledgement of the efforts of Sheilagh Goode and Andrew Matheson to get the Hall re-opened, through the Friends of the Greig Hall; they were jointly presented with the Citizen of the Year Award by the Mayor on behalf of Alcester Town Council.
